Right on Ischia’s Maronti Beach

A bright reception welcomes our guests and is connected directly with a comfortable lounge where sunlight streams through wide windows. Balconies and terraces enjoy scenic views of Maronti beach, the most beautyful of Ischia. An indoor corridor leads to the terrace restaurant overlooking the pine grove, through which our guests can get a glimpse of the crystal clear water. The Hotel San Giorgio Terme is at elevation 28 m above sea level and its straight-line distance from the beach is only 100 m. In 1996 the Iaconos, the family that already owned Villa San Giorgio, purchased the adjacent Helios Terme Hotel. The two buildings are connected by an indoor passage. After complete restoration works, the hotel features 80 comfortable bedrooms and can accommodate up to 150 guests. The hotel is fully equipped with all modern comforts, has an in-house thermal SPA and beauty centre and a thermal pool on one of the terraces.
The parking lot is in the back yard. The hotel private beach is only a stroll away (450 m).The hotel is plunged in a lush green pine grove, which shelter beautiful natural vegetation (Mediterranean maquis) grown on a spur of tuff including lentisk, strawberry tree and myrtle bush. In the blooming period the air is sweet with the smell of cistus, broom plant and dog rose blending with a nice citrus smell coming from the nearby orange and lemon trees: you can sense that spring is giving way to summer. A bed of birds of paradise creates an exotic atmosphere; beside them there is a nice example of a rare tree, the so-called bottle tree (Chorisia insignis), whose trunk is covered with stout spines. It produces spectacular flowers from September to late November.
